Design Thinking - FAST NUCES Faculty
A 4-hour Design Thinking workshop facilitated for 50+ CS and SE faculty at FAST-NUCES Islamabad — commissioned to help faculty apply human-centred thinking to the challenges of course design in an era of AI-assisted learning. The session was built around student survey data collected 48 hours before the workshop, which shaped the activity sequence and appeared at key moments throughout the day to ground faculty thinking in what students actually reported rather than what faculty assumed. Working in groups, faculty moved through the Empathize, Define, and Ideate phases — surfacing assumptions about their students, identifying root conditions behind engagement and motivation challenges, and generating ideas for specific course components they brought to the session. The final activity used GreyscaleLogic's live polling feature to give 37 participants instant feedback on each other's ideas — replacing a dot-voting process that typically takes hours with a real-time result visible to the entire room.
